In a highly anticipated unveiling that fuses talent and visionary sound, LA-based DJ and producer Durante has introduced the first remix from his eagerly awaited debut album "Enter." The renowned British electronic artist Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED) has masterfully crafted a remix of "Ancora," injecting a fresh perspective into the melodic house and techno scene.
Known for his versatility, Durante, originally from a small Italian village near Florence, has evolved significantly in the electronic music scene since he started in 2006. Durante's sound perfectly sits at the intersection of house and techno, which has led to releases with prestigious labels such as Anjunadeep and Armada. His work has been supported and praised by prominent figures in the music industry, including Bonobo and RÃœFÃœS DU SOL.
In April 2024, nearly two decades after his musical inception, Durante released "Enter" under Anjunadeep. The album, inspired by themes of portals and multiple dimensions, showcases an eclectic mix influenced by diverse musical elements ranging from Duke Ellington to classic Italo-disco. "Enter" is described by Durante as a "coming-of-age story" and a "reflection of the world around us."
"I've spent the past three years working on this album; it marks the beginning of many great endeavors in my life," Durante shared. "It's a coming-of-age story but also a reflection of the world around us. I'm happy to be able to share my emotions through music because the words escape me. TEED, a musical innovator hailing from Oxford and celebrated for his 2012 hit album "Trouble," has once again pushed the boundaries of sound. His latest project includes a transformative remix of 'Ancora' from Durante's album, infusing it with a dynamic blend of the original melodic hooks, a pulsating bassline, and percussion-laden grooves. This adaptation metamorphoses the track into an electrifying, club-ready hit.
"Ancora's remix embraces the original melody but elevates it with energetic rhythms that cater to intimate listening and the vibrant atmosphere of dance floors," explained TEED. His work has garnered attention from major music publications like NME and DJ Mag, earning him two GRAMMY nominations.
