Solshine Festival 2024 Unveils Phase 2 Lineup: Get Ready for Music and Arts Bliss

Solshine

The Summer Camp Music Festival team has announced the Phase 2 lineup for their new venture, Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie, set to debut at the familiar Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois. Scheduled from May 24-26, 2024, with a pre-party on May 23, Solshine Reverie is gearing up to be a highlight of the summer festival season.

Building on the legacy of Summer Camp, Solshine has attracted attention with additions like The Disco Biscuits, fresh off their 2023 performance, alongside Gaspar Benegas & L.A Argentinians. They join an impressive lineup featuring Goose, John Summit, The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, moe., STS9, deadmau5, Big Gigantic, and SLANDER.

This event promises to blend the old with the new, maintaining the spirit of Summer Camp while introducing changes for a more streamlined experience. Notably, the festival will now feature two main stages instead of three, reducing overlap and ensuring fans can fully enjoy their favorite acts. Workshops will be centralized at the SOULPATCH, enhancing the festival’s sustainability and community engagement focus.

The festival’s curfew extension to 4 a.m. is a nod to the vibrant night-time experience it aims to offer, allowing attendees more time to enjoy the music and atmosphere. Solshine’s commitment to community is also evident in its Community Contribution Fund, supporting local initiatives with a portion of ticket sales.

Solshine isn’t just about the music; it’s a holistic experience with workshops, art installations, and the traditional Field Day games, maintaining the essence of a communal retreat that Summer Camp enthusiasts have cherished.

As Solshine Reverie takes shape, it stands as a beacon for festival-goers seeking a summer filled with music, art, and community. With a blend of veteran performers and fresh faces, Solshine is poised to continue the tradition of memorable experiences that Summer Camp has been known for while forging its own identity in the festival landscape.
