Freaks of Nature festival announces 2026 lineup featuring Alan Walker, Alesso, Amelie Lens, ARTBAT, Meduza, Morten & The Freaks (Live)

Marking a highly anticipated return, Freaks of Nature festival announces the first phase of artists for its seventh episode, Freakyard. Taking place across Thursday and Friday, 5th–6th and 12th–13th February 2026, in Riyadh, Freaks of Nature will welcome international talent, including Alan Walker, Alesso, Amelie Lens, ARTBAT, Meduza, Morten, and The Freaks (Live) to Saudi Arabia’s most dynamic, immersive, and memorable boutique music and arts festival experience.

Marking a highly anticipated return to Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving dance music landscape, Freaks of Nature has announced the first phase of its 2026 lineup, setting the tone for what promises to be its most ambitious edition yet. The boutique festival will take over Riyadh across two weekends — Feb. 5–6 and Feb. 12–13, 2026 — welcoming a powerful mix of global headliners and immersive production under its signature Freakyard banner.

Among the initial names confirmed are Alan Walker, Alesso, Amelie Lens, ARTBAT, Meduza, Morten, and the newly announced The Freaks (Live) — a collaborative performance designed specifically for the festival. Together, the artists reflect Freaks of Nature’s ongoing mission to balance euphoric EDM energy with darker, club-driven sounds.

Now in its seventh edition, Freakyard will once again transform the MDLBEAST Soundstorm site into an industrial, visually immersive playground. More than 30,000 visitors per day are expected across the four nights, with over 100 artists set to be revealed in the coming weeks. The festival’s scale may be growing, but its boutique ethos — rooted in freedom of expression and curated discovery — remains central to its identity.

One of the most intriguing highlights of the first announcement is The Freaks (Live), an immersive sound, light, and visual experience presented as a b2b2b set by Yunite, Toby Romeo, and Yaz. Designed exclusively for Freakyard, the performance leans into the festival’s theatrical edge, blurring the line between DJ set and live audiovisual show. It’s a move that underscores Freaks of Nature’s commitment to creating moments that can’t be replicated elsewhere.

Musically, the 2026 edition is built around three distinct stages, each offering a different entry point into the Freakyard universe. The Mainstage will serve as the festival’s emotional core, pairing large-scale artistic design with euphoric anthems and carefully timed special effects. It’s here that crowd-connecting sets from artists like Alan Walker and Alesso are expected to shine, delivering the kind of hands-in-the-air moments that define major international festivals.

In contrast, the Underground stage pushes deeper into cutting-edge club culture. Featuring advanced 3D mapping and holographic visuals, the space will be transformed into a fully immersive techno environment, soundtracked by relentless, pulsating beats. Artists such as Amelie Lens and ARTBAT are a natural fit for this setting, bringing a darker, more hypnotic energy that balances the festival’s broader EDM appeal.

Rounding out the experience is the House of Freaks stage, an indoor venue designed for late-night movement and high-energy release. With flamboyant décor, confetti-filled drops, and a focus on house-driven grooves, the stage offers a playful counterpoint to the Mainstage spectacle and Underground intensity.

Beyond the music, Freakyard continues to expand its world-building. An on-site entertainment village will feature the Freak Bazar, chill-out zones, food and beverage options, gaming experiences, and interactive activations spotlighting local brands, designers, and creators. The goal is to keep the festival grounds alive at all hours, encouraging exploration and connection between sets.

At its core, Freaks of Nature is built around an idea rather than a genre. The festival invites attendees to embrace the “Freak” — an unapologetically authentic, fun-seeking individual who leaves routine behind and reconnects through music, art, and shared experience. That philosophy extends into the 2026 plans, which include a new merchandise range, a DJ competition, immersive art installations, and roaming characters designed to turn the grounds into a living, breathing universe.

“This first announcement is just an introduction to what Freakyard 2026 has in store. We’re starting with artists who set the tone, but the full story is much bigger. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be revealing names and experiences that reflect the scale, ambition, and creative direction of this edition. Freakyard is built to unfold, and we’re only getting started,” said Yazeed Al-Hashim, Chief Freak.

As Saudi Arabia’s first globally exportable entertainment brand, Freaks of Nature continues to play a key role in positioning the Kingdom as a hub for world-class electronic music events. With early-bird tickets already on sale and a stacked lineup still to come, Freakyard 2026 is shaping up to be a defining moment on the international EDM calendar.
