Bridges for Music Launches Global 2025 Charity Event Series

ADE Cycle

Bridges for Music is taking its mission on the road—and on the bike trail—with a series of global events designed to uplift underserved youth through music, education, and wellness. In 2025, the nonprofit will roll out a trifecta of purpose-driven experiences across the UK, the Netherlands, and South Africa, uniting endurance cyclists, music lovers, and industry insiders under one unifying goal: creative empowerment.

Kicking off on July 31, the Cycle from London to Wilderness Festival offers a one-day charity ride that doubles as a scenic warm-up to a weekend of live performances. Open to cyclists of all experience levels, the event covers a visually stunning route and sets the tone for the season ahead. Proceeds from the ride will support Bridges for Music's programs, which aim to enrich the lives of South African youth.

October brings a cross-border challenge with the ninth edition of the ADE Cycle. Taking place over two days, from October 21 to 22, the 250-kilometer ride will journey from London to Amsterdam, landing just in time for the Amsterdam Dance Event. Riders will pass through the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands, with logistical support that includes meals, ferry transport, luggage handling, and professional cycling guidance. Each participant also receives an ADE Pro Pass and official ride gear.

Backed by long-standing partner AlphaTheta and supported by Resident Advisor and ADE, the event isn't just about fitness. It aims to demonstrate environmental responsibility by reducing CO2 emissions by over 8,700kg compared to traditional air travel. More importantly, it gathers artists and music professionals in a shared act of giving back.

The momentum continues on October 23 with a high-impact fundraising dinner and live auction in Amsterdam. Set in the heart of the city during ADE, this intimate event brings together artists, collectors, and changemakers to celebrate and expand the reach of the Bridges Academy. Alumni from Langa, Cape Town's oldest township, will share personal stories, grounding the night in the very mission Bridges for Music exists to serve.

November 19 marks the grand finale with the London Gala Dinner at the legendary Fabric nightclub. Known for its rich history in UK electronic music, Fabric provides the perfect stage for a night of storytelling, performance, and community. South African artist Bongeziwe Mabandla headlines the evening, offering a soulful blend of music intertwined with the lived experiences of Bridges Academy alumni. A live fundraising auction will cap the night, channeling the collective energy of the crowd into meaningful support.

Funds raised across all events will support Bridges for Music's initiatives, including a newly announced Creative Club space designed for children aged 8 to 18. The space will offer access to creative education in music, dance, and mindfulness, adding another layer to the organization's holistic approach.

These 2025 events build on recent milestones, including the first-ever Mixmag Lab in Langa, which featured local talent and alumni alongside Zakes Bantwini in a globally streamed performance. Each initiative underscores the potential that unfolds when music, movement, and purpose intersect.

As Bridges for Music continues to bridge continents and communities, its upcoming calendar promises more than just events—it's a call to action for a future shaped by creativity and connection.
