A Deep Dive Into Artist Success and Industry Evolution
This year's programming highlights include an in-depth discussion featuring the team behind dance music's breakout star, John Summit. Holt Harmon and Parker Cohen (Metatone) and Ben Shprits and Daisy Hoffman (Wasserman) will dissect the meteoric rise of the 29-year-old DJ, from college party sets to sold-out performances at Madison Square Garden. Their insights will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how strategic management and booking were pivotal in elevating Summit to global stardom.
Spain's electronic music legacy will take center stage, with DJ and producer Indira Paganotto leading the Market Focus discussion. Dubbed the 'queen of psytrance,' Paganotto will explore the country's deep-rooted musical heritage and its influence on global trends and her genre-blurring sound.
Meanwhile, Latin house sensation HUGEL will spotlight his Make The Girls Dance label. As he gears up for an Ibiza season that includes a performance at the IMS Dalt Vila event, HUGEL will discuss his imprint's impact on the evolving Latin house movement.
Wellness, Curation, and the Cultural Evolution of Dance Music
Patrick Mason, a dynamic force in the techno and house scenes, will bring his signature energy to The Art of Areté, IMS's dedicated wellness area. His talk, "Stand on the Rim of the Volcano – and Do Your Dance," will examine the profound sense of community fostered through dance music and its psychological and cognitive health benefits.
As electronic music culture undergoes a shift in creative curation, Parisian DJ and producer Chloé Caillet will address the changing role of curators in the industry. Her panel, "The Present and Future of Curation: Who Curates the Curators?" will dissect how these cultural tastemakers bridge the gap between legacy influences and today's evolving sonic landscape.

The Rise of Afro-House and Global Sounds
IMS Ibiza 2025 will also highlight Africa's growing presence in the global electronic music industry. South African DJ Shimza will lead a discussion on "The Origins of Afro-House from South Africa to Ibiza," shedding light on the genre's expanding reach and the importance of ethical engagement with emerging markets.
Amapiano's influence will be explored through the lens of Vigro Deep, a leading figure in the genre's international rise. His session, "Cultural Exchange – The Role of African Music in Reimagining Dance Music," will examine how South African sounds are reshaping the global dance music experience.
Drum 'n' bass will also have its moment as DJ, broadcaster, and journalist Charlie Tee takes audiences through "Four Decades of Jungle & Drum 'n' Bass." Her discussion will celebrate the genre's deep roots in British multiculturalism and its continuing impact on dance floors worldwide.
A Premier Gathering at Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza
For the second year, IMS Ibiza will return to the Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza hotels, located in the tranquil Cala Llonga. These exclusive venues will be fully privatized for delegates, offering a unique blend of networking, education, and relaxation. Overlooking the Mediterranean, this setting provides an idyllic backdrop for three days of cutting-edge discussions and immersive experiences.
As IMS co-host and BBC Radio 1 broadcaster Pete Tong stated, "IMS Ibiza has always been about pushing the industry forward through dialogue and collaboration. This year's programming continues that mission with an incredible lineup of artists and professionals who are shaping the future of electronic music."
With its first wave of speakers announced and a packed schedule of events, IMS Ibiza 2025 promises to be an essential destination for electronic music professionals and enthusiasts alike.
